“A high-quality implementation of production accounting software means that your business believes in the integrity of the volumes and has one source of the truth, eliminating the need for any department to go off-system, thus eliminating unnecessary time and expense.”

Auburn is a senior manager at Magnum Forge. She has been in upstream oil and gas since 2004, working in industry for 13 of those years. Auburn has led teams of production accounting and regulatory analysts and managed data-gathering software products throughout their lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining product vision, and deploying successful products to client production environments. Auburn has managed projects involving software optimization and implementation. She has been involved in transitioning companies from legacy systems to new production systems, assisting with the integration of production data for acquired assets, AFE workflow, drilling, and completion data from other software systems.

Auburn has also designed and conducted training sessions for both key users and end users on basic and advanced production accounting, production accounting systems, production data capture, multi-state regulatory reporting, drilling and completion data gathering, wellbore schematics, and Microsoft Access. She has worked directly with field personnel to design accurate gas and oil delivery systems to meet production accounting and regulatory reporting requirements for the states of Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Wyoming, Montana, Louisiana, Colorado, and California.

Auburn has supported operations data systems across production services and drilling and production operations, including ad hoc support, documentation, user training, and software issue diagnosis and tracking. She has identified opportunities for improvements in system functionality and procedures, documented production business processes for internal purposes and SOX compliance, and audited allocation data for activity reporting, accruals, and regulatory reporting.

Her hands-on experience in software module implementation includes the following:

  • ProCount, eVIN, Carte
  • Petris (Production Access)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Word, Excel, and Outlook), Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project
  • Field Direct, Excalibur, DocVue, and SharePoint

Auburn attended the US Naval Academy and served four years federal service. She then received a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, in Management and Computer Information Systems from Park University.
